Acrylic pouring By Ania Asif Episode 2

Whether you want to call it fluid art, liquid art, or acrylic pouring, there’s nothing more satisfying than creating abstract masterpieces by letting pigment run amok. Fluid art is the process of pouring paints onto a canvas to create unique pieces of artwork. We can all agree that fluid artwork looks fantastic; something is mesmerizing about the way fluid artwork draws you in with all its hidden details.

Getting started with acrylic pouring isn’t particularly difficult, making it a great art form for all skill levels. With so many techniques to try, you can get as simple or complicated as you’d like. It’s also fun for all ages!

There are endless types of acrylic pouring techniques. Some of the techniques are:

1. Basic or Clean Pour

2. Dirty Pour

3. Swipe Acrylic pour

4. Puddle pour

5. Dip pour

6. Tree ring pour

7. String pull pour

8. Balloon smash acrylic pour

The technique which I tried is Dirty pouring. You can use any combination and number of colors you’d like. l used Blue, Purple and white. The basic materials you’ll need for this are:

1. Acrylic paint

2. Plastic cups

3. Canvas

4. Water

With this technique, all your paints are placed into one cup with the perfect amount of water mixed with it, prior to being poured across the panel or canvas. Consistency is key here—if the paints are too runny, they will blend together in the cup and come out muddy. Once the cup is filled with color, flip the entire thing upside down and then slowly lift the cup, allowing the colors to spill over the surface. And then let it dry for a while. Then enjoy your painting!

I also made a step by step video, check it out!
